Contest Rules
Limit 2 submissions per division
DIVISIONS:
• Digital Art (Computer Generated Art which includes posters, flyers, magazine covers, and/or extensivily altered photos
- Black and White Art

Color Art
• 3D Art (Mosaics, Glass, Pottery,
Jewelry, and Sculpture)
• Photography
VISUAL ART SPECIFICATIONS:
• Subject line of E-mail should include the
words: “Arts Contest, Your Name, and
Title of Work”
• Body of Email should include:
Full Name
Title of Work Art Category/Art Division
Age Division School/Teacher (if applicable)

Contact phone number and e-mail address
• A quality photo of artwork should be
attached using the following specifications: Attachments named as:
Title of Work and Your Name
File size: 150 DPI (minimum) with file no
smaller than 8.5 x 11 File formats: jpg.

Color Mode: RGB
• To be impartial, ALL submissions are nameless for judging. So, please DO NOT include your name, school, and/or community directly on artwork.

Submissions
• All entries must be submitted electronically. Applicants may submit in either or both art categories, but only two entries per division.
• Judges decisions are final. A gold, silver, and bronze will be awarded in both categories for each division.
• All winners are invited to attend the celebration and will be published in the Carl Junction Literary and Visual Arts Magazine.
• The contest deadline is Jan. 24th, midnight.
• The age divisions are 7/8th grade, 9/10th grade, 11/12th grade, and adult.
• The literary art category divisions are fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and song lyrics.
• The visual art category divisions are color art, black and white art, photography, 3D art, and digital art.
• For your entry to be considered, you must complete and follow all instructions.
• All work must be original.
• Works will be reviewed for originality, technical skill, and expression/emergence of personal vision and/or voice.

• Song Lyrics (40 lines or less, not includng
the chorus)
